Saint Monica's Mission

Our Mission
St. Monica's Mission was born out of a simple but urgent conviction: Our kids need us to pray for them. We live in a world that wages war on the innocence, purity, and faith of our children from the time they are very young. Parental controls, good schools, and hard conversations all matter — but they are not enough on their own. We need God. It's that simple.
Saint Monica
A mother that never stopped
St. Monica is one of history's most powerful examples of a praying parent. For decades, she interceded tirelessly for her son Augustine, who lived a life far from God — marked by intellectual pride, worldly ambition, and sexual immorality. She wept and prayed for his conversion and purity with a persistence that never wavered, even when circumstances seemed hopeless. Her faithfulness was eventually rewarded when Augustine not only converted but became one of the greatest saints and theologians the Church has ever known.

The world our children face
We live in a world that makes Augustine's struggles look almost quaint by comparison. Lust is no longer just a temptation lurking at the edges of life — it is aggressively marketed, algorithmically delivered, and culturally normalized. Our kids are exposed to content and influences that previous generations could never have imagined, often before they have the maturity or tools to resist them. The attacks are real, they are relentless, and no one is immune.
Beyond parental controls
As parents, we do the right things — we set up parental controls, have hard conversations, monitor screen time, and stay involved. And all of that matters. But if we're honest, we know that our practical measures will never be enough on their own. We need God. It's that simple. What feels impossible for us is entirely possible for Him, and when we invite Him into the fight for our children's souls, we are tapping into a power that no algorithm, influence, or temptation can overcome. Prayer is not a last resort; it is the first and most essential line of defense.

Pray for Our Kids'
Purity of Heart
So this is an invitation — to every parent, grandparent, godparent, and spiritual guardian, whether your child is three or thirty-three. Pray for them by name. Pray for their purity, their hearts, and their protection from the enemy's schemes. You may not always see the fruit of those prayers right away, and there may be seasons that break your heart. But like Monica, don't stop. The God who heard her cry hears yours too — and He is faithful!
